Mesherstellung
Nach dem Scannen und der Ausrichtung der Objekte, sind die Scanbilder ins Meshformat zu konvertieren.
Diese Konversion ist notwendig, weil die erfassten Bilder softwarespezifisch sind, während das Meshformat das Teilen von Informationen mit anderen Softwares ermöglicht.
Im Wizard erstellt die Software nach der Projektüberprüfung alle notwendigen Meshes.
Wenn man an einem Strukturprojekt ohne geleitetem Prozess arbeitet:
- Alle ins Meshformat zu konvertierende Elemente im Projektbaum auswählen
- 2. Auf das Mesherstellung-Icon in der Hauptwerkzeugleiste klicken
Die Software konvertiert alle ausgewählte Elemente, mit der geeigneten Methode für jedes Element.
Was ist ins Meshformat zu konvertieren?
Nicht alle gescannte Elemente müssen ins Meshformat konvertiert werden. Im Projekt gibt es 2 Scanbilderarten:
- Acquisitions that only function as a position reference to align all the other elements (E.g. full arch acquisition of a sectioned jaw, articulation acquisition of a 2 jaws project, etc.)
- Specific acquisitions that will be aligned to a reference (E.g. every die acquisition, waxup acquisition, gingiva acquisition, etc.)
Only the second category of acquisitions needs to be converted. The acquisitions that only function as a position reference are best kept unconverted in case other objects need to be scanned and aligned to the same reference.
