Wizard Acquisition
During the Step-By-Step Wizard you'll need to acquire many times. You can acquire single objects, acquire multiple objects in only one scan, reacquire a previously acquire object and you can integrate the acquisitions.
Single Object
Every time you'll need to acquire something a specific wizard screen will give:
- The name of the object to acquire
- A brief description of exactly what you have to put inside the scanner
- A selector for the Object Color
- A Scan Button to start the acquisition
- A Integrate Button to start the integration of a previously acquired object
- A Already Aligned check that tells you if this object was already aligned to the rest of the project
So you just need to:
- Read the object description
- Put the right object inside the scanner
- Click Scan
- If the acquisition is not good enough click Scan again to start a new acquisition or Integrate to add further data
Copy From Reference
Sometimes, part of the data needed for one element can be already acquired in another acquisition.
For example the acquisition that of the healthy and pontics parts of the jaw is really similar to the reference acquisition of the entire jaw. You only need to remove the part of the stumps beacase they'll be acquired in a separate step.
In theese cases the software will show you an additional button Copy From Reference that, instead of starting a new acquisition will simply make a copy of the previous one.
After the Base Cut step the software will try to remove the duplicated parts from the acquisition automatically.
Multi Acquisition
When you have to acquire multiple dies or multiple implants it's better not to do one acquisition for every element.
You can freely acquire more than 1 object at the time.
You just need to be sure that the objects are not going to hide one between the others during the acquisitions placing them far away or using the Multi-Die support.
In theese cases the software will show you a Multi-Acquisition Setup step where yuo can select which object you want to scan togheter.
This step will show you a list of all the object that you need to acquire and all the object already acquired. You just need to check the object you want to scan togheter and, if you're scanning stumps, check the Use Multi-Die support options on the bottom if you want to use the Multi-Die holder.
With Multi-Die
If the Multi-Die is used the software will prepare a specific acquisition for the dies selected with an image to guide you on how to fill the Multi-Die holder.
After the acquisition the software will automatically recognize the single dies and return to the Multi-Acquisition Step to let you acquire additional objects
Without Multi-Die
If you're not going to use the multi die the software will acquire the objects normally, but later will ask you to manually identify the object one at the time.
A specific Wizard Step will tell you what object you need to identify. You need to:
- Read from the Wizard Page what object you need to select
- Select the specific object using the Selection Tool you prefer
- Click the Segment button
- Click the Next button
When all the objects are identified you'll return to tue Multi-Acquisition step. When all the object are aquired you can click next without selecting anything to continue with the Step-By-Step Wizard
Integration
If after one acquisition you click the Integrate button you'll enter in the integragion mode.
After an acquisition you'll be prompted to Cut The Base.
