Message definition (Man DataEditing)
* Delete Selection (DEL) : deletes the currently selected data
* Crop Selection ({{Inline button|Key ctrl.png}}+ K) : keeps only the selected data and removes all the rest
* Invert Selection ({{Inline button|Key ctrl.png}}+ I) : selects all the data that is not selected and deselects the selected data
* Clear Selection ({{Inline button|Key ctrl.png}}+ C) : deselects all the data
* Select All ({{Inline button|Key ctrl.png}}+ {{Inline button|Key shift.png}}+ C) : selects all the data
* Select Connected ({{Inline button|Key alt.png}}+ {{Inline button|Key shift.png}}+ D) : (only for meshes) extends the selection to get all the parts connected to the current selection area
* Dilate Selection ({{Inline button|Key ctrl.png}}+ D) : extends the selection to the data adjacent to the actual selection
* Erode Selection ({{Inline button|Key ctrl.png}}+ {{Inline button|Key shift.png}}+ D) : reduces the margins of the selection
